Amitava Sanya’s technical expertise centers on Market Analysis and Technical Feasibility Analysis for healthcare facilities along with Healthcare Facility Assessment & Planning. He is currently working as an expert in a feasibility study concerning the set up of a teaching hospital with paramedical and nursing colleges in Nepal.
Additionally, he provides backstopping services for two projects on strengthening of healthcare facilities offering mother & child healthcare(MCH) services and tuberculosis (TB) care services funded by the German Development Bank (KfW) in Tajikistan.
In addition, Amitava has been involved in the rehabilitation planning of over 50 hospitals of varied bed capacity, the planning of three teaching hospitals, and has worked as an assessment expert in India on various projects funded by international donors such as KfW and DfID. Prior to joining EPOS in 2006, Amitava gained broad experience in the healthcare sector, particularly in pharmaceuticals, in his home country of India.
Amitava holds a degree in Biological Sciences and is currently pursuing his Masters in Hospital Planning and Management. Amitava is fluent in English, Hindi and Bengali and is in the process of learning French.
