Indonesia: Hospital Hand Over

Hand over ceremonies included the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Indonesia, the Ministry of Health Director Directorate General of Medical Care and the Governor of South Sulawesi Province.

Hand over ceremonies for the Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital took place in Indonesia on 31 January 2012 and included the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Indonesia, the Ministry of Health Director Directorate General of Medical Care and the Governor of South Sulawesi Province.

The KfW funded and EPOS implemented project “Improvement of the Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital Makassar” spanned five years and included infrastructure development, procurement of hospital equipment, the development of waste management services procurement of waste management equipment, as well as hospital capacity building training and services. Mediconsult, an Asian-based healthcare planning and consulting services company, partnered with EPOS to implement the project.

The recent hospital hand over ceremonies were one of the culminating events of country-wide German-Indonesia days held throughout the past four months to mark nearly 60 years of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. JERIN, a German-Indonesian cooperation exhibition, was set up in the hospital’s Mother and Child department during the hand over weekend and included wellness checks and preventive healthcare information.
