Health Sector Reform is multi-dimensional; it includes priority setting, planning, institutional reforms and the rational management of incomes and expenditures. The overall goal of our efforts is to increase the efficiency, quality, equity, client responsiveness, and sustainability of the health care system.
Under Health Financing we strive to determine the level of resources available for health care, their mobilisation and spending (how much, what kind of services, and for whom). Ideally, reforming health financing mechanisms sets the right incentives for health care providers, insurance providers and health care users. In turn, one sees improvement in performance of the overall system.
The services offered by EPOS in the field of health policy and financing take into account the unique settings, particular conditions and variety of challenges of each specific client and country. Advice is based on best practices from high and low income countries.
